2011 – Investing in Precision Manufacturing
Recognizing that component quality begins with the foundation, we invested in our own plastic bobbin and coil former factory. Over the following years, we developed more than 4,000 precision mold sets, enabling us to produce bobbins with exacting dimensional accuracy and material consistency. This vertical integration gave us direct control over a critical part of the magnetic component supply chain and established our capability for high-volume, precision tooling.

2011 – Expanding to the United States
Recognizing the importance of being close to our customers, we established a sales and management office in Tucson, Arizona. This strategic move positioned DEFON to better serve the North American market with localized support, faster response times, and deeper understanding of customer requirements. The Tucson office remains a vital hub for our sales, customer service, and market development activities, bridging the gap between our manufacturing operations in Asia and our growing customer base in the Americas.

2014 – Entering High-Frequency Transformer Manufacturing
Building on our component expertise, we expanded into the design and production of high-frequency electronic transformers. This marked our transition from distributor to full-spectrum magnetic component manufacturer. We invested in advanced winding equipment, engineering talent, and testing capabilities to serve the growing demand for compact, efficient power conversion in industrial and commercial applications.

DEFON was awarded a multi-year supply agreement with a prominent U.S.-based lighting company, validating our engineering capabilities and manufacturing quality in the competitive North American market. 2022 – Achieving ETL Certification
We obtained ETL certification for our magnetic transformers, confirming compliance with UL8750 and UL5085 standards for safety and performance. This milestone opened doors to broader North American market access and affirmed our commitment to building products that meet the most stringent regulatory requirements. Certification is now available for OEM volume projects, reducing customer time-to-market and compliance costs.

To reflect our evolution from component supplier to full-system power engineering partner, we rebranded as DEFON Electronics. The new name represents our expanded capabilities in magnetic design, power electronics, lighting systems, and contract manufacturing. Today, we serve customers across North America, Europe, and Asia with vertically integrated engineering and production — delivering reliable power solutions from concept to completion.
